Lagardere, new convenience concept in Poland – 1MINUTE SMACZNE-GO

Lagardere recently unveiled their new flagship ‘1Minute’ store concept to customers at the Central Railway Station in Warsaw, newly renamed “1Minute – Smacznego” – a play on words highlighting tasty and on-the-go. What was clear to Lagardere from the beginning was the concept had to focus on a new approach to food offerings with a fresh store layout to attract and maintain customers.
Lagardere Travel Retail run 64 1Minute stores in Poland, all in the travel or concessions segment (Airports, Railway Stations, Metro, Hospitals, Offices and street commuter junctions).
So, what makes the new concept different? Its the food module that became the heart of the new store. It is the main element of the new concept, with a bold design reminiscent of food trucks and constructed to let customers see the food preparation process.

To the existing assortment of sandwiches, salads and yoghurts prepared on site, as well as cookies, hot dogs and casseroles, they have added new product ranges, such as pizza; prepared to order for the customer, an American hot-dog with an original roll, fat-free and sweet potato fries, onion rings and cheese sticks. They are also putting great emphasis on the “grab-and-go” offer, which includes homemade and packed sandwiches, salads, yoghurts as well as ready meals and juices. They have also designed completely new eco-packaging for pizza and other snacks and their food product range is now much broader than other convenience networks in the market.
Their coffee offer is still of great importance to them and they continue with the concept of “Coffee Stop” – “Przystanek Kawa”.

In addition to the product offerings, they are also focusing on a new marketing and strong communication strategy; outside the store to grow initial perception – a new logo, transparent store windows, stop ratio screen, and inside the store – a new menu board with dynamic communication, new eco-packaging for pizza and other snacks with travel design and new layout.
Simple, fast and tasty! This new concept was created in-house through the pandemic by a hardworking team looking to attract new customers and they also hope to warmly invite you to test their new menu in person soon.
Thanks to Darek Sinkiewicz, CEO of Travel Essentials at Laragdere Travel Retail, Poland for the update on their flagship store.
