Insight Market Focus London, 15-17 May 2024

Insight Research can’t wait to welcome industry friends to London – which is definitely back as one of the outstanding global destinations for any retailer seeking new ideas. If you want to see an inspirational breadth of offers being invented and reinvented for the future there is nowhere better to be.
How is London responding to its new circumstances?
This May it will be 3 years since the UK relaxed the last of its main Covid restrictions. Since then, London’s most innovative retailers have been responding at pace to the challenges and opportunities created by the huge shifts in the way we live and work.
We’re delighted to share that our London programme will feature a number of outstanding retailers who have kindly agreed to share the story of their latest innovations.
Marks & Spencer

Marks & Spencer has been one of the most remarkable turnaround stories of recent years and are quick to tell anyone they are only just getting going!
We’ll be interviewing and hearing a presentation from Marks & Spencer Channels Director Matt Harrison and visiting its latest Marks & Spencer Food convenience stores, including the recently re-opened M&S London Waterloo; probably the best high volume case study anywhere in the world.
The opportunities for engagement will be significant, M&S site visits will also be hosted by Jon Statham, Convenience Store Director at M&S and Nick Wright, Head of Convenience Operation at M&S.
Kavanagh’s at Belsize Park

Kavanagh’s at Belsize Park has been one of the most discussed new stores of 2023 – the perfect suburban top-up store! We’re thrilled to see stores that are so demonstrably fresh and food loving coming through and will also be talking to Noel Kavanagh ahead of the event to take us through their wonderful story.
Our London program

Beyond our headliners we will be packing in plenty more to our hosted retail visits – including some great new businesses capitalising on post-Covid opportunities along with the additional benefits of an online workshop ‘interview’ ahead of the event and a physical briefing in London.
- Our Insight Market Focus London begins with an online workshop for registered attendees ahead of the physical visit. The online workshop takes place prior to travelling to London to start the learning early.
- Then we begin on the evening of Wednesday 15 May with our welcome networking dinner and drinks where we’ll be joined by Matt Harrison, Marks & Spencer Channels Director.
- Thursday 16 May kicks-off with our M&S briefing session followed by site visits to some of the latest and most innovative convenience and food formats in London.
- Our international retailer group dinner takes place that evening, Thursday 16 May, where we’ll be joined by more senior execs from some of London’s leading retailers.
- On Friday 17 May we continue our site visits with senior level hosting.
