Foodvenience operators join Deliverect in Barcelona this September

Deliverect will bring its Digital Ordering Club to Barcelona from 21 to 23 September 2026, gathering senior operators from across foodservice, convenience and retail for three days. Insight Research & Global Convenience CEO Dan Munford will join the group to give our own perspective on the merging of convenience and foodservice or ‘Foodvenience’ as we see it.
The Club is deliberately not a conference. There is no exhibition floor and no procession of vendor presentations. Instead, members are brought into workshops and working discussions where their operational reality feeds straight into Deliverect’s product roadmap. As the invitation puts it, attendees are not just in the room, they help shape it.
The speaker list gives a clear sense of the level in the room. Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Burger King UK, is one of ten named speakers, alongside Emily Wurgler, global senior director of product management at McDonald’s, and David Rose, VP of international technology at Papa Johns. Between them they represent three of the highest-volume digital ordering operations on the planet, and three quite different approaches to running them.
The line-up widens from there. Ira Prifti, chief digital solutions and technology officer at QSRP, and David Radburn, group IT director at Caffè Nero, bring the perspective of leaders responsible for the whole stack rather than a single channel. Søren Grundtvig Skaarup, VP global operations at Joe & the Juice, and David Campbell, chairman of Ole & Steen and Lagkagehuset, cover the fresh food and bakery end of the market, where speed of service and product quality pull against each other constantly. Faisal Younes, chief operating officer of Food Quest Restaurants Management, adds a Middle East operator’s view of scaling digital across markets. Robert Fuegert, executive chairman and CEO of Burgermeister, and Juan Uribe, CEO of Healthy Poke, round out the group with the growth-stage brand perspective.
The event is hosted by Deliverect’s co-founder and CEO Zhong Xu, co-founder and president Jerome Laredo, founder and chief product officer Jelte Vrijhoef, and Valentin Vermersch, VP strategic accounts.
Deliverect frames the value of membership around three things.
Influence: Your ideas matter. Shape the evolution of digital ordering through direct influence on Deliverect’s product development.
Innovate: Engage in workshops and discussions, delving deep into the latest advancements and strategies in digital ordering.
Connect: Become a part of a community where your voice shapes the future of digital ordering, gaining exclusive access to exciting global events that connect you with industry frontrunners.
For convenience and mobility retailers, the relevance is straightforward. Foodservice is the growth engine in the channel, and the operators listed above are the ones setting customer expectations for how ordering, collection and delivery should work. Hearing how Burger King UK or Caffè Nero is solving those problems is a shortcut worth taking.
Places are limited and by invitation. Learn more and register your interest here.
