Chargers can step into the expansive 5,000-square-foot market and lounge to relax, work, or recharge themselves while their EV powers up or use it as a chance to refresh their car with its onsite car wash and complimentary vacuums. At Rove, we’ve built our charging experience to be efficient and accessible – because we know that charging should be simple.

We offer a variety of high-powered chargers to accommodate all fast-charging EVs:

• 28 Tesla V4 Superchargers equipped with NACS plugs and Plug & Charge technology, delivering up to 250 kW
• 2 Rove ABB Terra 350 kW DCFC chargers equipped with CCS plugs and retractable cables
• 8 Rove ABB Terra 184 kW DCFC chargers with dual retractable CCS-plugs, making it easy to plug in no matter where your charging port is located
• 2 Rove ABB Terra 184 kW DCFC chargers equipped one CCS and one CHAdeMO retractable cable

Designed for Accessibility

Rove put a lot of thought into the entire charging experiencing including how drivers park and plug in.

• Spacious, dedicated charging spots mean no awkward parking maneuvers.
• Three van-accessible stalls provide better access for drivers with mobility challenges.
• A smart layout with two drive aisles and a central island allows for easy entry, exit, and queuing—eliminating dead-ends and the need for tricky turnarounds.

All chargers are located under a well-lit canopy that is made of over 400 solar panels. These panels are intended to collect solar to store in the 4MWh on-site battery storage.

Utilisation rate

Rove – Santa Ana is at approximately 33% utilization* for a trailing 7 days, following its opening October 2024. It continues to see steady increases week-over-week.

• *Utilization is determined by minutes occupied by chargers divided by total minutes within a trailing 7 days.

Uptime

Station uptime is 100%, expressed as the % of time that chargers were working and available for any one person with any of the three plugs available onsite.

Charger uptime is 97%, expressed as an average % of minutes that chargers are operational for customers to activate a charge.

Maintenance

Proactive system health checks and onsite monitoring are key to Rove’s commitment to reliability. Our onsite support staff provides a critical first line of defense. Their responsibilities include:

• Monitoring charger performance first-hand and identifying reoccurring user issues
• Performing charger resets, as needed
• Using an onsite Rove EV to test machines immediately for issues and resolution
• Conducting regular inspections of the chargers, plugs and cords

While most of the issues can be resolved by our onsite team, we maintain:

• Ticketing and reporting to coordinate quickly with third-party partners to identify bugs
• Conduct regular system checks to ensure our chargers are in optimal condition
• Maintain a proprietary performance tool to allow our team to promptly monitor and troubleshoot systems quickly.

Drivers can start a charge using:

• Plug & Charge available on all Tesla Superchargers.
• Tap-to-pay with most major credit/debit, Google Pay or Apple Pay on CCS & CHAdeMO chargers.
• Onsite Charging Support Staff can accept payment and activate charges
• Toll-Free Charging Assistance Hotline, which allows customers who are experiencing issues to call a 1-800 automated system, provide a charger number and credit card details to activate a charge remotely after hours.
• The Rove app, which offers a seamless experience with or without an account. Rove’s app is free to download in Apple or Android and offers more than just charging support – it lets users order fresh market items for delivery straight to their EV.
