The NACS European Convenience Retail Awards recognise outstanding achievements in the European retail community.
For nearly 15 years, the programme has been a high point for retailers, industry experts and suppliers who gather each June at the NACS Convenience Summit Europe to recognise and celebrate industry success and innovation.
The awards provide one of the greatest benchmarks of global convenience retailing excellence. Over the years, entrants from multiple European countries and diverse types of convenience formats and company sizes have participated. The competition is rigorous, and the benefits of participation are numerous.

We’re excited to announce that submissions for the awards are now open. Understanding the special challenges of navigating COVID in 2020 and of filming in stores this year, we’ve modified our annual International Convenience Retailer of the Year award for 2021. This year’s award-now called “Best of the Best”-will recognize the best virtual store submission
This award still honours an innovative and successful international retail store location of the year, and the winner will be selected by this year’s NACS Convenience Summit Europe attendees.
Previous International Convenience Retailers of the Year
Each year, entrants from European countries and diverse convenience retail formats submit inspiring videos that capture their innovations and achievements in hopes of being honored. Previous winners include Reitan Convenience Denmark (2019), Fresh the Good Food Market (2018), SPAR Natural Gran Canaria (2017), Applegreen (2016) and Topaz (2015).
