A global perspective

This global initiative united the roadside retail, mobility, and charge point sectors with a common goal: to enhance the customer experience for EV drivers. It also provided a global perspective on the EV charging retail landscape and recognized the achievements of participating companies in this showcase of the future of mobility.

What truly stood out was the camaraderie and connection among the participants. Our thanks to everyone who took part in the 2024 program for your leadership and recognition of this initiative’s value.

Who participated in 2024?

2024 featured 24 exceptional entries from 9 countries including China, Finland, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States of America. Participating companies included bp Pulse, Circle K, EG Group, DCC Energy, Gridserve, Maxol, Neste, Osprey, Neon, Sainsbury’s, Shell Recharge, St1 Nordic.

A truly global audience

As an online initiative, the ‘Best EV Hub in the World’ 2024 engaged our industry on a global scale, generating over 350,000 LinkedIn impressions, 69,000+ page views, and attracting more than 25,000 unique users throughout the competition.

Spirit of the competition

We then travelled to the far south of Norway to catch up with Managing Director, Lars Østbye and his team at Certas Energy Norway AS. In the electric video (at the top of this page), they share their formula for success! And, Lars sums up the spirit of the competition –

“We wanted to inspire our own organisation with the things that we do, like the Mandel site. And that’s exactly what this competition is about, right?”.
